The Wild Boar and the Farmer’s Pig
A wild boar was foraging for roots and worms when he happened upon a nice fat pig in his pen. The pig was dining on all manner of tasty morsels served up to him by the farmer.
“He doesn’t work for his food!” marveled the boar, “what a charmed life!”
The next day the boar noticed that not only was the pig was not in his pen, but that he’d been slaughtered and hung up in the barn for butchering.
And so the boar concluded, “Perhaps it’s best to work for one’s own food after all, if one is to be in control of one’s own fate.”
